Position Purpose:
The Appliance Installer I is responsible for installing appliances for HDDC customers. They are responsible for the delivery and installation of products. The Appliance Installer I must ensure timely completion of all jobs and installations. The Appliance Installer I is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through timely, quality installation of products and services offered. The Appliance Installer I is responsible to ensure compliance and proper adherence to job process and installation standards.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
70% Customer Service
-Ensures timely completion of all jobs and installations
-Listens to and resolves install complaints in the field and escalates issues if beyond their skill set
-Delivers appliances and plumbing products to customer's home or other specified location
-Document all pertinent information with regard to daily delivery and installation paperwork for accurate record keeping
-Obtain customer signature on packing slip for the receipt of goods with regard to pick-up, delivery or Installs
-Follows-up on customer concerns
-Ensures customer needs are met
30% Appliance Installation
-Works with team members to install appliances
-Ensures compliance and proper adherence to job process and installation standards
-Diagnoses installation issues, seeking additional support as needed
-Cleans and maintains the interior of vehicle
-Communicate status of each stop to scheduling and routing dept. along with accounting for accurate billing process
-Perform routine inspections on vehicle using vehicle inspection form and report any immediate safety concern to management
Nature and Scope:
-Reports to the Appliance Installation Manager
-This position has no direct reports
Environmental Job Requirements:
Environment:
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
-Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving merchandise
-Moving around the facilities
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Certifications & Licenses:
-Must be able to pass Level I Installer testing certification (including: delivering and setting in place freestanding ranges, washers, dryers, freestanding refrigerators and non-European built-in dishwashers and microwaves)
-Must have a valid state drivers license and proof of insurance
Physical Requirements:
Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
