The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking a Director of Clinical Services. It will include oversight and leadership of the Child and Family Counseling Center (CFCC). In addition, they will provide clinical supervision and oversee clinical operations.
The position includes responsibility for serving as a catalyst for healthy work culture and increased clinician engagement. They will be looked to model and encourage open discussion and solution-focused brainstorming and maintain daily focus on client and clinician experience through customer service conversations, staff meeting, and supervision. In the role they will maintain steady growth in productivity and efficiency of expenses to achieve fiscal goals and will insure licensing compliance.
How You'll Be Making a Difference
- Supervise and evaluate assigned clinic leadership.
- Provide individual and group supervision and provide on-going guidance and training to clinical staff.
- Oversee the intake and discharge process through collaboration with centralized intake team and implement efficiencies where needed.
- Oversee the utilization review process. Ensure quality assurance standards are met (treatment planning, record keeping and documentation).
- Monitor the treatment of high acuity clients and ensure high fidelity coordination of care. Participate in utilization review and lead clinical consultation teams. Identify opportunities to improve client care, clinical integrity, and service effectiveness.
- Monitor clinician productivity and appropriate caseload to meet established targets.
- Oversee investigations conducted by internal and external agencies (i.e., payor audits).
- Provide mentoring to support the professional growth of emerging leaders at CFCC.
- Hold clinicians and leadership compassionately accountable for meeting performance expectations to motivate and inspire ongoing success. Implement Performance Coaching, Performance Improvement Plans, and other strategies to address Performance Struggles.
- Implement program and activities for regular staff acknowledgement (best practice clinical interventions, client-focused outcome measures, teamwork, productivity, etc.)
- Facilitate 1:1 conversation with clinicians and leadership to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation as required.
- Participate in program planning, development, and other management functions as required.
- Participate in EHR workgroup meetings to ensure strong telehealth technology solutions that are user-friendly, client-centered, and cost-effective (including patient portal and electronic invoicing/payments).
- Interact with the administrative professionals, clinicians, 3rd party billing partners, and other disciplines to ensure the efficient delivery of services and coordination of the claims process.
- Ensure compliance with DPH regulatory and licensing standards.
- Collaborate with community partners (BPS, DMH, and DPH) and cultivate new ones.
- Oversee intern placement and relationships with colleges and universities.
- Oversee monthly clinical workshops; assess ongoing need for in-service training opportunities.
- Participate in crisis prevention and intervention as needed.
- Provide 24 hour on-call support and provide rotating coverage to assure 24/7 on call program(s) support
- May provide direct care and/or services to clients and families in the program(s)
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, mental health, or related discipline plus independent licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) and 2 years clinical leadership experience required.
- 5 years program specific clinical experience
- Knowledge of children with complex psychiatric illnesses
- Minimum of three years' experience in leadership and management.
- Knowledge and understanding of DPH OP Mental Health licensing standards and ability to incorporate said standards into clinical practice and clinic culture.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced performance-based environment.
- Strong working knowledge of computers, electronic health records and data collection.
- Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications
