Memory Care Life Enrichment Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Organize, implement, and evaluate alongside the Life Enrichment Director the campus Life Enrichment (Recreation/Activity) programs.
• Assist with ensuring resident preferences and engage them in activities that are meaningful to the residents served and enhance their sense of well-being (identity, growth, autonomy, security, connectedness, meaning and joy.)
• Help coordinate a dynamic and active volunteer program.
• Prepare residents for meals and assist to and from the dining room. Assist residents with meal set up and eating.
• Assist residents with toilet and incontinence care.

• Perform vital signs, B/Ps, weights and other trained procedures as directed by management.

• Responsible for laundering of residents personal items, not limited to, personal laundry, sheets, towels, etc.
• Maintain education development and compliance with State and Federal Regulations and current knowledge of resident care practices.
• Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, residents, families, visitors, and other disciplines.
• Adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, worker safety and other emergency procedures.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA policies.
• Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications:

• Must have compassion for and desire to work alongside our aging population!

• High School or GED equivalent required

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
