Summary
Performs functions decontaminating, assembling and distributing sterile processing. Must identify all instruments used. Follows all aspects of aseptic technique and body substance isolation. Ensures that instruments are properly processed to minimize turnaround time by working in close harmony with O.R., Labor and Delivery and other users.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School or GED
Required Licenses/Certifications: NA
Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
Preferred -3 years as an Instrumentation Tech/One year experience in instrument processing/Competent skills reflected in keyboard usage, Windows and WordPerfect Ability to follow oral and written directions/Must read, write and speak English fluently/Accuracy and attention to detail/knowledge of aseptic technique or on the job training within three months of employment as demonstrated by competency.
