The Tony Hotel is seeking an experienced Bellperson for our historic hotel in Miami Beach!
The primary responsibilities as a Full-Time Bellperson are escorting guests to and from their rooms, explaining hotel features and amenities, assisting them with their luggage and transportation, and helping maintain the lobby area. The ideal candidate must have a great attitude & interpersonal skills. Also, uphold professional working relationships with other team members and maintain composure while under stress.

Compensation:
$13.00 an hour
Bellperson Essential Functions:
- Meet and greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcome and attended.
- Assist guests quickly, patiently, and with a friendly attitude.
- Explain room features to guests, general location of areas of interest, and available services.
- Inform guests about all hotel facilities, locations, and operation hours. Promote and sell special hotel programs when possible.
- Take guests and their luggage to and from their rooms.
- Inspect guestrooms for general condition of lights, heat, A/C, television, radio, and bathrooms.
- Pick up and deliver dry cleaning for the guests by stated times.
- Provide information on local attractions and give directions.
- Provide transportation to local restaurants and attractions.
- Deliver messages and/or packages to meetings and guestrooms.
- Ensure that guest spaces and lobby are clean and tidy at all times.
- Maintain keys in a secure area.
- Clean assigned areas and assist other departments as needed.
- Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and hotel policies.
- Communicate all pertinent information to your manager.
- Maintain a safe environment by following the hotel’s standards and legal regulations.
- Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Complete other duties assigned by supervisor to include cross-training.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Familiar with local area and attractions.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a service oriented mindset and be capable of making every guest feel valued.
- Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Meet minimum age requirements of jurisdiction
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 100 lbs.
