Position Summary
The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing activities, costs, and expenditures related to timely sourcing of materials, supplies, and out-of-plant services required for Imagine Studio, with an emphasis on permanent display components. This role will develop and maintain strategic relationships with domestic and overseas sourcing partners. The Global Sourcing Manager will take an active role in developing the sourcing process, negotiations and contracts within Imagine Studio.
Job Duties:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new domestic and overseas vendors to expand the company's supplier base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best quality and pricing.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies focused on reducing costs without compromising quality.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Provide sales executives with necessary permanent display estimates regarding outsourced materials
- Ensure suppliers comply with internal quality standards and external laws.
- Conduct spend analysis to drive cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure timely procurement of all materials, supplies and out-of-plant services required for company operations, which are at optimum costs and meet quality and quantity specifications.
- Informs production department of required lead times, availability, and status of ordered materials.
- Work directly with other Imagine locations to establish enterprise suppliers and sourcing strategies.
- Keep informed as to present and future manufacturing plans that will affect procurement of materials.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure that all materials and products meet the company’s quality standards.
- Continuously monitor and assess supplier performance, implementing improvement plans as necessary.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, new materials, and opportunities for innovation in retail fixtures.
- Analyze and monitor global market conditions to optimize sourcing strategies.
- Work closely with design, engineering, and procurement teams to align sourcing activities with project requirements.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with global sourcing, including geopolitical, economic, and supply chain disruptions.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain challenges.
- Develop long-term sourcing strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives and sustainability goals.
- Lead initiatives to optimize the supply chain, improving efficiency and reducing lead times.
- Track and report on key sourcing metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and quality improvements.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on sourcing strategies, risks, and opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
- Bachelor's degree (and/or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years previous work experience in procurement/purchasing/sourcing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
- Experience in a print-related field
- Experience in a lean-driven organization with a track record of achieving significant cost savings
- Advanced level of negotiation skills
- Ability to work through influence
- Analytical with ability to analyze, communicate, and solve complete supply chain and procurement issues
- Multi-site experience
- Drives for results by setting shared high standards of performance and pursuing stretch goals for self and in working with others
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge RFQ process
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite or related software (PowerPoint) and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in sourcing software and tools.
The national pay range for this role is $xx,000- $xx.00/ year or hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
