Role Summary
To plan the serving details for banquets, receptions and other social functions.

$15.50/hour plus tips

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this position are:

• The ability to oversee the set-up of functions including checking of the physical layout of the room, providing the servers with the proper set-up information, and post updated function sheets in the Banquet kitchen.
• The ability to oversee the service of the function assigned by the Banquet Manager to insure the success of the function and staff adherence to all service rules.
• The ability to meet individual hosts and makes him/herself accessible to the host for any need that may arise.
• The ability to properly close all banquet checks and complete the Captain's log book at the completion of the function.
• The ability to oversee the clean up of all functions and ensure the proper removal and storage of hotel linen and skirting.
• The ability to report all incidents to the Banquet Manager.
• The ability to prepare and post daily room assignments for servers including specific times for set-up and service.
• The ability to oversee proper clean up, handling and storage of all china, glassware and cutlery as well as other banquet equipment.
• The ability to assist the Banquet Manager in the annual performance evaluation of the banquet servers.
• The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
• The ability to ensure the proper care, security and maintenance of hotel equipment through proper supervision of service personnel.
• The ability to constantly monitor the staff's appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism to ensure their strict adherence to Four Seasons' standards of quality service.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Previous experience in banquets or catering services and a supervisory role.
• Strong customer service skills, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must have strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
• Ability to read Banquet Event Orders and execute at a high level to ensure guest expectations are met.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in or knowledge of the hospitality industry is preferred
