Role Description
This is a contract role for a Tutor at The Ivy Campus. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing personalized tutoring sessions to students. This includes assisting with homework, explaining concepts, and helping students improve their understanding of various subjects. The role is currently based in Los Angeles, CA, Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia but offers flexibility for hybrid and remote work.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the subject(s) you will be tutoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with students of different ages and learning styles
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work with a diverse student population
- Experience with online tutoring platforms and technology
- Patience and empathy towards students
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred
- We welcome tutors with different degrees (High School Diploma or GED, AA/AS, BA/BS, MA/MS, PhD, etc.)
