The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine, which has a focus on improving human health, is seeking a Clinical Research Project Manager to join a dynamic and supportive team. The incumbent will be responsible for overall management and coordination of research projects including cross-group communications, execution, and completion of different research components. A broad scientific background, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and proficiency with project tracking and communication tools will enable some latitude for independent judgement and development of research workflows and presentation of results with a minimal to moderate degree of supervision. The position allows to work independently and as part of a team for a wide variety of research activities. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions: • Overall project management and coordination: Facilitate cross-group communications during project execution regarding project scope, goals and deliverables, execution and completion. This includes monitoring progress on expected deliverables and assigned tasks. Organize IRB work across different sub-awardees and JAX. Maintain lists of priorities, schedules, action items, accountability, and deliverables in defined areas of research projects. This includes providing project tracking and updates on a consistent basis to the JAX team. Champion planning and execution of all research meetings and all relevant documentation. This includes creation and distribution of formal, accurate, and tailored project summaries, according to project delivery timetables. Demonstrate commitment to creating a positive work environment and high-performance culture, which includes continued effort toward improving process and workflow, coping with and supporting change and commitment to a solution driven approach to problem. • Research and other activities: Assist in grants submission and pre /post-award activities. Monitoring budget and expenses. Coordinate development of study materials (informed consent, recruitment guide, qualitative interview guide, and web-surveys) with the research team. Assist with dissemination of research findings. Point of contact with outside entities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • A minimum of a M.S. degree in science or healthcare with 5-7 years of professional experience in clinical research administration. • Must be comfortable reading and interpreting scientific and medical literature. • Strong organizational and database development/management skills Educational Requirements: Master’s Degree is required, Ph.D. is preferred. Degree & Specialization Requirements: Experienced Translational/Clinical Project Manager required. Preferred: Experience supporting pediatric cancers, including but not limited to neuro-oncology, osteosarcoma and leukemia research, project management, project coordination.
