Claims Processor

Job Description

A health plan is looking for Medical Claims Processors to help them get out of a backlog. This position will be onsite in the office five days a week in Florida. This opportunity is expected to be at least 3-4 months in duration.

Responsibilities

• Review claims intake
• Validate information on claims received and reviews/assesses, and ensures there is no missing or incomplete information
• Submit recommendation to claims adjuster for payment
  
  

Requirements

• 2 years medical claims processing experience
• High school Diploma (some college preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to interpret an explanation of benefits EOB statement
• Must have agile mind set, ability to change focus and adapt as needed
• Soft skills including strong verbal, writing, active listening and problem solving
• Ability to always maintain professionalism
• Must demonstrate PC skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
