What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at THE JBR GROUP?
Our client is seeking experienced assemblers to join their team.
Two shifts are available:
1st- 7am-3:30pm ($16/hr)
2nd- 3pm-11:30pm ($17.60/hr)
Responsibilities
Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by performing the following duties
- Reads work instructions, follows Assembly Process Details and Packaging Process Details and sample assemblies, and receives or provides verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
- Uses fixtures, or other holding devices
- Calibrates all equipment to prescribed specifications
- Crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place
- Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel
- Connects wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual components
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in bases and enclosures
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies
- Cleans and packs all products
- Performs online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
- Uses hand and power tools, bench equipment such as, but not limited to, soldering irons or guns, presses, vices, drill presses, testers, tube cutters, benders, grinders, and fixtures
- Possesses basic electronic job knowledge identifying components and understands the operating process of equipment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- The employee frequently is required to stand and sit
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
Skills
- Experience as assembler
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
- High school diploma
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.60 per hour
