We’re committed to supporting your career development by encouraging mobility and advancement across different program types and jobs.   With 70 locations throughout the five boroughs, you can work close to where you live.    Generous vacation time and 15 paid holidays will help you achieve a healthy work/life balance.   We offer an excellent benefits package with affordable, high-quality health and dental insurance with low co-pays.   You’ll receive ongoing support through high-quality supervision, specialized trainings from our Continuing Education team, and an education benefit.      How you can make a bigger difference:        The School Based Mental Health Prevention and Intervention program is a program in “high-needs” middle and high schools which provides counseling, professional development, classroom observations, group counseling for at-risk groups, case management and community linkages/referrals, etc.  The project offers both prevention work for the entire school population, screening and brief intervention for vulnerable populations (LBGTQIA, new immigrants, etc.) and provides individual, family, group and collateral sessions for students and families with a behavioral health issues.  This program aims to provide teachers with more options, increase student access to mental health services, and include greater family engagement through community referrals, family counseling, parent workshops, and trainings. The goal is to increase opportunities for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties and their families to receive high-quality mental health services in the school setting.The PIP Case Manager will provide support to the school community via linkages to concrete resources, psychoeducation, and family support. Services will be provided on selective and universal levels identified in conjunction with school administration and the office of School Mental Health. Services (listed but not limited to what is below) require timely documentation in EHR and data tracking documents.   Make referrals to community providers. Create linkages between providers and school staff or parent groups. Work as-needed with parents/caregivers and parent groups in the community and homes to assist in finding resources for concrete and treatment services. Help parents/care givers and students to overcome obstacles to receiving services. Accompany families in accessing services in the community when necessary. Attend school staff meetings and participate on crisis teams and other school committees. Parent workshops on behavioral health topics. Assist school and program social worker in writing policies or initiating school wide prevention efforts related to behavioral health concerns or to improve school climate (e.g. anti-bullying campaigns, reducing mental health stigma, etc.). Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, statistics, and other documentation as required by the Office of School Health, JBFCS and the school. Additional duties as assigned.   Qualifications:  The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented individuals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications: High school diploma required Previous work in mental health and case management preferred. Family advocacy work also preferred. Experience in school settings is preferred.
