Job Title: Tai Chi Yoga Instructor (or Qigong)
Job Summary:
The Joyful Living Yoga Center is seeking a experienced and compassionate Tai Chi Yoga Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Tai Chi and its principles, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to adapt classes to meet the needs of students of all levels, including offering some students chair tai chi and others standing.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Tai Chi and yoga classes, workshops, and private sessions
- Develop and implement engaging and inclusive class plans
- Modify classes to accommodate students with physical limitations or injuries
- Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and adjustments
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Encourage students to explore their full potential
- Teach Chair Tai Chi classes as needed
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members
- Participate in studio events and promotions
Requirements:
- Tai Chi certification or equivalent experience
- 1 years of teaching experience
- Strong understanding of Tai Chi and principles/philosophy
- Excellent clear communication and teaching skills
- Ability to adapt classes for students of all levels and beginners
- Experience teaching Chair Tai Chi
