Cloud Engineer

Position Overview: We’re on the hunt for a seasoned engineer to spearhead the crafting, deployment, and oversight of our cloud-based infrastructure. This pivotal role demands a candidate with a robust background in cloud architecture and a profound grasp of AWS offerings. Collaborating with diverse teams, you’ll devise scalable, secure, and economically viable cloud strategies that resonate with our corporate objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

• Forge and refine scalable, dependable, and secure cloud frameworks utilizing AWS technologies to fulfill both business and technical stipulations.
• Navigate the transition and integration of applications and operations into the AWS cloud landscape.
• Enhance AWS setups for peak performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability while optimizing resource deployment.
• Construct solid security frameworks, encompassing IAM protocols, encryption standards, and network security methodologies.
• Craft infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging tools like AWS CDK, Terraform, and Ansible to streamline AWS resource management.
• Implement and uphold cloud governance standards to align with industry norms and best practices.
• Ensure fluid cooperation with development, operations, and security divisions to bolster cloud-based systems and services.
• Keep meticulous records of cloud structures, settings, workflows, and guidelines.
• Offer authoritative advice and backing to stakeholders regarding cloud adoption tactics and industry insights.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or akin discipline, or equivalent professional background in cloud engineering or related roles.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with an emphasis on AWS.
• Comprehensive familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and IAM.
• Skilled in IaC utilities like CDK, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Proficient in scripting languages including Python and Bash.
• Versed in CI/CD methodologies and tools like AWS CodePipeline and Jenkins.
• Deep-seated knowledge of network and security protocols in cloud settings.
• Acquainted with monitoring and logging systems like AWS CloudWatch and the ELK Stack.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent credentials are highly regarded.
