Job Description
Responsibilities include
- Monitor, maintain and optimize data pipelines, databases and related infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, processing and storage in a timeline manner.
- Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement correction actions to prevent and mitigate system failures and performance bottlenecks.
- Be part of the on-call rotation and occasionally work weekends.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement scalable and automated data solutions around pipelines, databases and storage systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- MUST HAVE’S: Modern Data Stack – Spark, Phyton/Java should know one of them, know how to ingest and transform large amounts of Data
- Must have’s: Pipeline exp, data mgmt. controls, Modern data warehouses/data lakes – used to move data fast
- Need to know the data pipelining – how to do you stream data in and exp (Fast micro batches, solution design, optimization)
- Wants to see experts in the space if they say they know spark “Needs to be an expert in Spark”
- Excellent command of technology
