Description: The Judge Group is seeking Pathologists for a great client with opportunities available throughout Georgia!
The Pathologist plays a vital role in delivering pathology services crucial for diagnosing and treating human diseases. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing pathology services to contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of human diseases.
- Producing comprehensive and timely pathology reports, meeting all necessary criteria.
- Supervising laboratory activities in compliance with national standards and internal policies.
- Consulting with fellow pathologists and serving as a consultant to clinical physicians.
- Conducting autopsies and performing macroscopic and microscopic examinations as required.
- Participating in staff meetings and adhering to assigned call schedules.
- Engaging in research projects, preparing scientific papers on disease nature, causes, and behavior.
- Investigating pathology practice and technique developments, assessing adaptability to laboratory needs.
- Learning and applying computer-related applications, including electronic keyboards and devices.
- Performing all responsibilities in line with industry security practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Adhering to the Corporate Compliance Program, Privacy, and Security policies.
Education and Licensure Requirements:
- Medical Degree is mandatory.
- Active license to practice medicine in the relevant state.
- Certification in anatomic or clinical pathology, with additional subspecialties based on duties.
- National certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist.
- Continuous education to maintain certification/licensure and enhance basic knowledge.
