Role Summary:
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Representative is a key member of the Finance team. This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. The Accounts Payable Representative will be responsible for a variety of vendor accounts and will be part of a team which values cooperation, integrity, and attention to detail.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Representative will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain assigned vendor accounts
- Address inquiries from vendors regarding status of invoices
- Review invoices and purchase orders for payment approval
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Work closely with AP Manager on questionable transactions and disputed charges
- Review monthly statements from vendors
- General administrative duties
- Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:
- Work Experience: 1 Year experience in accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable or relevant experience
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Analytics/Computer Skills: Basic accounting knowledge; strong computer and typing skills; basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Organization Skills: Attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; good judgement and problem-solving skills
- Cross-functional skills: Ability to manage relationships both externally and internally; highly motivated self-starter
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong phone presence and listening skills
- Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Skills we prefer but don’t require:
- Education: Associates or Bachelor’s in accounting or finance
