Job Title: Receptionist

Reports to: Executive Assistant to the Head of School
Job Summary
TKA is a Christ-centered school grounded in a Biblical worldview, and we are looking for a Receptionist who is a follower of Jesus Christ and is dedicated to the school’s Christ-centered mission. The primary responsibility of the Receptionist is to greet, direct, and answer initial questions from callers, parents, and visitors. The person in this position must be able to multitask in a busy environment while creating a welcoming environment. The receptionist will also support the HS Principal and Head of School Office with administrative tasks and projects.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions
Regular Activities
- Answer and transfer phone calls cheerfully and courteously
- Collect and distribute messages, incoming mail, and packages
- Set vacation/office closed voicemail and signage for all office closures
- Greet and assist visitors who come into the office and assist with wi-fi guest access
- Maintain visitors' logs and issue badges when necessary
- Monitor security video feed
- Assist with the mailing of packages/letters
- Keep office lobby neat and tidy; water lobby plants weekly
- Maintain, stock, and clean break room
- Support Substitute Teacher Check-In
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the HS Principal and HOS Office
- Lunchtime Supervision Scheduling and Communications
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years executive support experience required
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent skills in communicating both orally and in written form
- Exceptional ability to organize and multi-task with excellent follow-through
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite
- Ability to learn new computer software systems
- Experience with Google Calendars

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Required to use the computer throughout the day
- Work will be performed from the campus
- Will move throughout the campus during the day
- May occasionally have to lift up to 20 pounds
- Work is generally performed, Year-Round, Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- The months listed are approximate, and the annual start and end date will be dictated by the school calendar and the department’s needs.

- Pay Grid: Admin Support II
- Pay Grid Range: $21.99 to $25.26
- This position is paid based on a preset salary grid, and the actual salary will be determined by applicable education and experience as determined by the Human Resources department. The starting pay listed reflects this position's minimum experience and education requirements. The top pay range represents the top of the pay grid for this position. It is rare for a candidate to enter this position at the top of the pay grid. Most candidates can expect to enter in the lower to middle section of the pay grid, depending on experience and education.
