Description

SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the machine production, shipping department and maintenance department on a daily basis. The Supervisor ensures that all quality, safety and production procedures are followed and that production personnel in their department are trained in the correct use of these procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Schedule job orders to ensure there is minimal down time of production maximizing cost efficiency 
2. Ensure shipping schedule is planned and executed resulting in consistent on-time deliveries
3. Supervise the maintenance of all machinery including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance 
4. Manage warehouse staff to within budget
5. Warehouse organization to ensure optimal productivity 
6. Special projects and assignments as business dictates
7. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.

• Production employees Maintenance employees 
• Shipping employees

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years in corrugated products
• 5 years in corrugated (or similar) converting equipment 5 years in maintenance management, Bilingual preferred
• Prior experience as a machine operator preferred
• Proficient with word and excel computer software applications 
• Bachelor degree preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• The employee frequently is required to talk or hear
• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The noise level in the WORK ENVIRONMENT can be at times loud. 
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.        
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; vibrations
