Childcare Center Director who is passionate about motivating children and teachers alike to learn and grow.
The details:
Fulltime, Monday - Friday, Flexible shift between open hours of 6am -6pm closing time, paid holidays, sick time, employee discount, early childhood continuing education.
Compensation based on experience.
We are looking for a Center Director to join our TLE family at our state of the art center in Manassas VA. The Center Director will be expected to provide and maintain safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate programs in accordance with all relevant childcare policies.
Responsibilities :
The Center Director is responsible with assisting the overall operation and well-being of the center, as well as:
- Adhering to all company guidelines, licensing requirements, health regulations, and fire codes.
- Keeping all permits and licenses current.
- Maintaining a center that meets or exceeds state licensing requirements.
- Providing direct supervision to teachers, assistants, aides, volunteers, and support.
- Establishing positive working relationships and communicating effectively with staff, parents, and children.
- Making employee learning a priority in onboarding, training and ongoing development.
- Managing employee schedules and daily labor within the center, ensure appropriate ratios are always intact
Must haves:
CDA, Associates, Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field 3 years' experience.
OR
3 years experience in a leadership role outside the educational field.
Infant and Child CPR/First Aid Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated financial management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Leadership skills to confidently lead a team of 20 staff members.
A clean driving record.

Day to day:
- Deliver consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion.
- Forecast and create enrollment growth plans based on past performance and projected occupancy.
- Ensure parent billing and account receivables are accurate and precise each month
- Nurture leads through consistent outreach and follow up with potential families to secure enrollment.
- Proactively seek employee feedback, listen objectively to employee concerns, use sound judgement, and follow through on a decisive course of action.
- Regularly communicate with families regarding student progress.
- Work closely with business owner.
