What You’ll Do:

Step into a pivotal role as our Supervising Housing Justice Attorney, where you’ll lead critical initiatives within our Homeowner Protection Program as well as develop and implement our new Emergency Rental Assistance Program. This is not just any legal job—you will be our champion in the courtroom and beyond, managing policies, guiding a talented team, and driving community-focused legal outcomes.

Your Impact:

· Lead & Innovate: Shape and supervise our foreclosure prevention efforts, ensuring ethical standards and cutting-edge practices. Work with your team and the Legal Director to develop and implement a new housing justice program aimed at providing advice and representation to non-citizen renters involved in court actions against their landlords.

· Empower Clients: Provide expert legal advice and representation to those facing the threat of losing their homes, be it through eviction or foreclosure.

· Educate & Advocate: Conduct impactful community sessions on housing rights, tenant rights and foreclosure with a particular emphasis on outreach to our immigrant neighbors.

· Collaborate for Change: Work alongside our dedicated team to continuously improve our services and strategies.

Who You Are:

· Licensed to practice in New York State with a solid background in Foreclosure, Eviction, or Real Estate law (5 years).

· A proven leader with a knack for nurturing high-functioning teams.

· Multilingual abilities preferred; sensitivity to trauma-informed care is a plus.
