Corporate Controller

We have an immediate need for a Corporate Controller to support LiRo's Chief Financial Officer in the financial oversight and management of company projects.  This position is for our Syosset, LI Office.  

Responsibilities

• Financial reporting – Define and execute accounting and financial reporting practices in accordance with GAAP
• Manage all monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, including account reconciliations, accrual schedules and general journal entries, ensuring that reconciliations are performed accurately and on-time
• Own the GL and recording of all business transactions, including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts, while ensuring compliance with local accounting requirements and internal policies.
• Manage day-to-day operational needs, including accounts payable, expense management, vendor management, and payroll processes
• Streamline, maintain & improve processes and internal controls
• Interact and communicate effectively with the Accounting team, other internal/external parties, and customers at various levels

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
• 7 years’ experience with Big 4 accounting firm a plus
• Experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction Industry a big
• Strong analytical skills
• Change Leadership – Implements needed change while maintain the cohesion of the organization and meeting short-term operational goals
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of Deltek/Vision System highly desired
