Summary
This position is responsible for the planning and execution of all sales strategies, initiatives, and objectives of the division while leading and managing sales, reservations and revenue management departments.
The budgeted salary range for this position starts at $150,000. Actual pay will be dependent on qualifications and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.
Essential Job Functions
- Work with the COO, General Managers, and Chief Brand Officer to execute the sales strategy
- Provides leadership to sales, revenue management, and reservation sales teams to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Collaborates with business units, determining annual revenue goals and sales budgets.
- Identify where improvements can be made and developing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Design and implement annual sales plans for each club and hotel property.
- Working with the marketing and brand team to design print and online promotional materials for the company’s products and services.
- Oversee and approve the sales plans and budgets for the hotels and clubs in the portfolio.
- Drive and manage all cross-sell initiatives: enterprise-wide sales, Friends and Family rates, cross-brand email and digital campaigns, and cross-brand advertising.
- Direct the central call center for all hotels.
- Provide general guidance to the property level Directors of Sales and the regional level Area Director of Sales to develop and maintain sales recognition and all regional and property sales incentive programs, including brand cross-sell initiatives.
- Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual payouts pursuant to such plans.
- Work with Director of Sales, Area Director of Sales and Area Director of Revenue Management to provide on-going sales training and monitoring programs for sales and reservation personnel.
- Provide direction to revenue management team and participate in bi-weekly calls with the properties to review demand, promotions, rates, etc. for all hotels. Ensure that accurate and timely “pace” (lodging pre-sell) reporting practices are in place for all hotels, reports are distributed to appropriate management timely, and action is taken on dips or escalations in pre-sell levels.
- Monitor the market and competitor products and activities.
- Provide detailed sales forecasting.
- Review customer activity, anticipate customer needs and improve customer satisfaction.
- Lead and ensure collaboration between the hospitality sales teams and the overall ASC sales organization, as well as other ASC senior staff members.
- Participate as a contributor in the evaluation of all new acquisitions, providing guidance for revenue expectations and sales expenses.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent degree required, M.B.A. preferred.
- Possess 15 years of demonstrated progression in travel and hospitality sales and revenue management. This person must have deep knowledge of luxury travel markets.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in managing multiple commercial disciplines: sales, revenue management and call centers.
- Have expertise in third-party sales including travel advisors, group, and FIT channels.
- Have a good knowledge of the OTA side of our business to assist Director of Revenue and hotel Sales Managers in making good business decisions on that business.
- Be recognized as a collaborative, aspirational leader known to motivate and develop staff. Ability to act with little supervision in guiding the general policies that shape the department.
- Availability for frequent travel.

Supervision given: Exercises minimal supervision over Area Directors of Sales, Revenue Management and Central Reservations. Sets the overall objectives and resources available. Both, in consultation, develop deadlines, projects, and work to be done. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, performance evaluation; recognition; disciplinary action; coaching, budgeting, and labor relations .
Supervision received: Works under limited supervision of the Managing Director and COO, Hospitality Division. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing strategic methods to attain them. Can formulate policies but does not necessarily have final authority for approval.
