What You'll Do:
This person provides payroll and accounting support for North America as part of the North America Leveraged Services team.
What We're Looking For:
Responsible for payroll tax and general ledger (G/L) administration.
Partners with Payroll team, Finance team and Corporate Tax team to achieve process/procedure service outcome expectations.
Assist Payroll team with tax-related task such as quarterly filings, preparing tax statements and setting up tax accounts with supporting state and tax authorities.
Monitor the resolution of all relevant tax and G/L payroll related inquiries to ensure they are appropriately addressed and resolved.
Provide specialized knowledge/support for inquiries and propose exceptions as needed.
Review employee payroll and overall payroll integrity to ensure calculated tax amounts are correct.
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax files submitted by third party.
Work with third party provider to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
Adhere and effectively communicate all compliance updates and errors.
Process G/L entries and balance to payroll records and tax entries.
Review and process of Taxable Gross Wages – monthly review/reconciliation with ADP, W2’s, year-end processing, tax auditing and reporting.
Reconcile G/L entries, each payroll and on a cycle basis.
Maintenance of our knowledge base on biweekly payroll tax and GL process, regulations, changes, trainings and building procedures.
Skills That Make a Difference:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
4 years of professional level Payroll Tax experience and GL reconciling, including at least 3 years multi-state payroll production experience.
Experience in managing Payroll Tax and GL functionality. Administration working with third party provider (ADP preferred)
Experience managing processes related to Payroll Tax policies and current tax regulations.
Experience with HR and/or other systems (i.e., SAP-HCM, ADP, Smart Compliance etc.)
Experience improving processes and procedures
American Payroll Association Certification highly desired (FPC or CPP)
