The Margate is a family owned resort who specializes in accommodating family vacations, weddings and events with our venue being located right on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee.

We are looking for a full-time wedding and event sales coordinator to join our team for the 2023 season and beyond. We are looking for someone with some experience in the event industry, whether that’s banquets, weddings or something comparable. An interest in weddings is a must. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, professional and personable. Having said that, if you don't have any event experience but have a a very strong desire to work in the wedding industry, don't hesitate to apply, we are willing to train the right candidate!

The Event Sales Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Sales in managing the sales workflow. We expect this position to work full time with a heavy concentration on weekends. SALES

  • Maintain an expert knowledge of The Margate Resort & Amenities
  • Provide in-person tours of the venue for potential wedding clients
  • Build custom event proposals for potential wedding clients
  • Stay in regular communication with the Director of Sales regarding bookings, promotions, new clients, etc.
  • Manage client onboarding and effortlessly guide client thru the wedding planning process.

WEDDINGS

  • Act as Event Manager from the planning process through the day of event.
  • Display above average professionalism and maturity when interacting with clients, guests, vendors and staff
  • Act as an exemplary representative of The Margate Resort and the client hosting the event
  • Assist other Event Managers with ceremonies, set up, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
