What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Analyst position at The Mars Agency?
We’re looking for a Finance Analyst. The position reports to the Finance department, and responsible for overseeing budget management and performance for assigned Retailers and Brands. The successful candidate will interface cross-functionally with agency personnel and the client’s finance team to maintain sustainable metrics throughout the year, provide monthly budget analysis and changes, and have complete financial accuracy of all active shopper events. Candidates must be located in the Detroit metro area for regular in-office meetings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare timely financial reporting with analysis of budgets, shifts, and findings across teams.
- Management of all shopper marketing projects into budget management system. This includes continuous monitoring, adjustments, and actualization of all spend in consultation with the client teams executing the events
- Liaison between external client team and internal teams
- Maintain reports to properly account for current standings and shifts within FY budget
- Partner with agency Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to manage workflow of billing and vendor payments
- Performs other duties, as assigned
SKILLSETS REQUIRED:
- Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in a finance position supporting key departments
- Strong operational focus and ability to deliver accurate and detailed financial metrics on monthly basis
- Great attention to detail
- Strong excel skills
- Ability to work effectively with various teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
