What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner/Expo position at The Mason Jar at Claytor Lake?
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of food orders
- Assist with food preparation and plating when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operation
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or special requests
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, kitchen staff, and servers
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy trays or plates if necessary
