Job Summary: Assist marketing & communications team by helping to construct marketing materials and facilitating effective internal and external corporate communications. The successful candidate is responsible for completing assigned projects in a timely manner with a high level of quality and passion for The Mississippi Arts Entertainment Experience and its mission.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, proof and edit various sales collaterals and promotional campaigns, such as, flyers, brochures, advertisements, trade show materials, etc. harmonious with the mission of The MAX.
  • Create, develop and accelerate corporate communications initiatives through increased presence on social media platforms
  • Support corporate advertising initiatives through the development of marketing collateral and advertisements for industry publications, events and various marketing campaigns
  • Work with communications management and internal divisions on strategic growth opportunities (i.e product launch or rollout strategies, targeted marketing campaigns via newsletters, mass email communications, and other communications initiatives designed to increase corporate visibility)
  • Support marketing campaigns to engage clients and prospects and help them understand more about company products and services.
  • Ensure quality of deliverables and enforcement of critical deadlines through effective communication.
  • Work with individuals and teams to gather materials and information for various projects.
  • External vendor liaison for basic office services and support (vendor support for digital press, print services)
  • Coordinate and secure needed company promotional items for tradeshows and client appreciation
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Communications Programs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field
  • 2-3 Years’ experience in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Professional experience working independently and effectively with others, managing deadlines, budgets, clients and vendors.
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft office platforms
  • Experience with social media platforms and email marketing solutions; InDesign experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills, including abilities in proof reading, editing and copy writing with a keen eye for visual details and developments
  • Ability to be proactive, work as a team and interact with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
