The McGuire Group’s Northgate Health Care Facility on Nash Rd in North Tonawanda is seeking a Van Driver to become a member of our elite McGuire Mission Makers team. This individual will also assist in the Maintenance Department. Our nursing and rehab facilities are rated among the highest in the nation and are comprised of Mission Makers who are compassionate, dependable, courteous and informative. Drivers are responsible for transporting staff to and from designated pick-up and drop-off sites utilizing a company-owned vehicle. This includes ensuring safety rules and acceptable behavior are being followed and completion of required paperwork. This individual will also assist in the Maintenance Department by performing duties to maintain a safe, clean, secure environment within the facility and its grounds. This position provides maintenance management through regular equipment inspections, while upholding facility maintenance inspection processes and procedures, and attending to all daily maintenance requests for each department.
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver's License
- Possession of current New York State driver’s license
- Excellent customer service skills; cheerful and pleasant demeanor
- Able to work with tools, ladders and maintenance supplies as directed
- Able to work under minimum supervision, while cooperating with departmental heads and other staff members
- Problem solving skills in maintenance requests
- Good physical strength for heavy lifting and other related tasks
- Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary
- Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
- Ability to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness and kindness
- Willingness to maintain HIPAA privacy, security and confidentiality standards
- Qualities of responsibility, diplomacy and a keen sense of direction
