The Methodist Home is a leading organization in the behavioral health sector, dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to children and families in need. As a non-profit committed to improving mental health outcomes, we understand the importance of fostering a supportive and empowering work environment for our staff. We operate two campuses and two satellite campuses, with 180 staff serving children and families all over the state of Kentucky.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team and lead our HR Department. This is a pivotal role within our organization’s continuing work to be a preferred place to work and preferred provider. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our recruitment, hiring, developing effective HR systems, and aligning HR strategies with our mission, values, and broader business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support our mission and values, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Lead recruitment and hiring efforts to attract top talent, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Create and assist training and development programs to support employee growth and advancement.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and team-building initiatives.
Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitive and equitable offerings for our staff.
Collaborate with leadership to drive organizational change initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Utilize data and analytics to measure HR effectiveness and drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
5 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on leadership and strategic planning.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
Experience working in the non-profit or behavioral health sector is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to implement HR systems and drive effective change within an organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
