Worship Pastor

The Mission Church is seeking a Worship Pastor to join our pastoral team and lead our worship, production, and creative arts ministries. We are looking for a servant leader who is biblically centered, loves the Church, is passionate about making disciples, and called of God to oversee a vibrant worship culture in the local church.

ABOUT THE MISSION CHURCH WORSHIP PASTOR

The Mission Church Worship Pastor will serve the congregation through:

· Joining our pastoral team in a collaborative, cooperative role.

· Pastoring a vibrant volunteer culture within the worship, production, and creative arts teams.

· Developing Christ-centered weekly worship services in partnership with the Lead Pastor.

· Growing as a competent musician with strong vocal and musical talent, and able to develop similar giftings in others.

· Demonstrating sincerity, passion, and dedication to the vision and values of The Mission Church while encouraging other staff and volunteers to do the same.

· Building volunteer teams, leading worship services for a congregation of approximately 450 average weekly attendance in two Sunday Morning services.

· Participating in and providing support to all general church services (in addition to Sunday Morning).

· Being an intentional disciple-maker who helps others find Jesus, grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word.

· Demonstrating growth as a leader, worship pastor, and follower of Jesus through personal spiritual disciplines and seeking opportunities for professional development.

· Having a passion for the community outside the walls of the local church.

· Caring deeply for the people of The Mission Church, pastoring them “behind the scenes,” and engaging in the life of the church beyond the worship, production, and creative arts ministries.

ABOUT THE MISSION CHURCH

The Mission Church is an Assembly of God Church of approximately 500 people that is focused on the mission of proclaiming Christ, training disciples, and raising leaders. We strive to exist as a Holy Spirit saturated community that demonstrates vibrant, Christ-centered worship and proclaims the uncompromised, biblically centered gospel of Jesus Christ. DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

· Vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus and love for the Word of God.

· Ministry credentials with the Assemblies of God are preferred, but not required.

· Relevant college degree is preferred, but not required.

· Experience successfully leading, recruiting, and developing a team of volunteers in a local church setting.

· Enthusiasm and passion to help people find and follow Jesus.

· Excellent musical, vocal, and worship leading skills.

· Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, team building, organizational, and leadership skills.

· Vision-driven and action-orientated with an inherent desire to achieve exceptional results.

· Strong character: humble, teachable, godly, loyal, and responsible.

· Working knowledge of Planning Center, Pro Presenter, Multi Tracks, WorshipOnline, CCLI.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

This is a full-time pastoral position. Benefits include full health care and retirement matching. Salary package is commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
