The Emerging Systems Engineering Technologies Department is charged with identifying, developing and applying new technologies that can address the Government's most challenging Systems Engineering problems.

This is an opportunity for mid - career engineers who are highly motivated, innovative and proactive.

This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one's systems architecture modeling, and tradespace analysis skills.

Areas of interest include Model Based Engineering (MBSE, MDA, MDD, MDE), Systems of Systems, architecture modeling, analysis of complex systems, and decision support.

Responsibilities include:

* Hands on software skills will be used for developing prototypes using Java, Python and related programming languages.
* Modeling architectures of complex systems using standards-based languages (ex. SysML / UML)
* Evaluating and comparing alternative architectures using qualitative and quantitative techniques
* Articulating major uncertainties associated with systems architectures, defining risks and opportunities associated with the uncertainties
* Supporting requirements management, interface management and architecture change management processes
* Translating analysis results into actionable recommendations for the US Government agencies

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
* Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to possess and maintain a DoD clearance
* 2 years applicable experience
* Knowledge of systems architecture and systems design and development, understanding of modern SE methods.
* Expertise in object oriented programming to include: Java (required), Python, C#, C , and C
* Proficiency in one or more of the programming languages for quantitative analyses (ex. MATLAB, Mathematica, R).
* Familiarity with SysML and UML modeling tools
* Project-based team work experience
* Ingenuity for applying a set of technical skills across multiple subject matter domains such as healthcare and defense
* Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
* Must have demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, PC, presentation, and communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in technical field of study
* INCOSE
* Preference given to qualified candidates hold active clearance.
* Experience with multi-disciplinary modeling and simulation (physics-level, engineering-level and/or operational-level).
* Knowledge of Analysis of Alternatives, Verification and Validation, Design of Experiments and data analytics.
* Familiarity with Doors / Cameo / MagicDraw
