If this sounds like the choice you want to make, then choose MITRE—and make a difference with us.
The departments support development and delivery of integrated, agile mission capabilities that will enable the US and Coalition forces to operate at the speed of relevance. ADI’s focus is to (1) develop joint, all-domain operational concepts; (2) mature these concepts through realizable architectures; and (3) transition the developed capabilities to the warfighter. This involves the near-term modernization of fielded capabilities and development of next generation warfighter operations in all phases of systems evolution: from concept exploration, through experimentation and fielding.
To achieve this broad set of outcomes for our Government Sponsors, we seek staff that have knowledge or interest in several related areas of expertise, including multi-domain sensor operations and architectures; Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) integration and exploitation; end-to-end kill chain integration and assessment; and platform integration. These domain competencies are complemented by a variety of technical skills which enable program execution and include systems engineering, modeling & simulation, and software and hardware prototyping. We work hand-in-hand with Government sponsors and the warfighter to serve as technical advisors bringing domain experience and state-of-the-art solutions to their most demanding operational challenges. Successful candidates will join our team and immediately begin tackling emerging, high-priority challenges in the areas of all-domain operations and Joint, All-Domain Command & Control (JADC2).
Roles and Responsibilities:
-
You will act as an individual contributor in a collaborative team environment to develop models and simulations for analyzing sensing, communications, command & control, and other systems at many different levels of abstraction to include:
- Scenario-based modeling with multiple users and platforms participating in missions conducted in difficult (contested) environments
- Analysis of future system designs using parametric performance models
- Assessment of employment strategies and concepts of operation for military technologies
- You will apply best practices in order to develop new models and leverage existing models to conduct analyses, derive results, and form actionable data-driven recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Work with teams to produce concrete short-term tangible outputs and recommendations that make progress towards larger, impactful outcomes
- You will collaborate with other modeling & simulation communities across MITRE’s organizations in order to coordinate development efforts, bring the expertise of others to bear on our projects, and to ensure common standards of product quality
