We are searching for a Director of Tax to be the Internal expert responsible for managing the entire tax department. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to deal effectively with clients and management. This role is 100% in office 5 days/week, 8am-5pm; However please note that hours will change during tax season based on the needs and demands of the tax department.
Salary: $200K , DOE

What We Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field – Masters in Taxation preferred
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- 3 years with supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- CPA certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking in daily tasks and research projects
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Ability to review tax returns: Individuals, S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, Trusts and Estate
- Exceptional work ethic and integrity
- Financial services experience is highly preferred
- Prepare tax projections
- Maintain a working relationship with selected clients
- Perform compliance review and tax return signoff
- Handle client consultations on planning opportunities and changes in tax law
- Working on proposals and assisting in developing new business
- Meeting prospective clients and developing relationships with new and existing clients
- Expanding services to existing clients
- Supervising engagements and special projects undertaken by the firm
- Overseeing all aspects of the client engagement
- Supervising, training and evaluating advanced level staff
- Coaching, mentoring and assisting staff so they can develop and assist in the growth of the tax function
- Maintaining knowledge of new tax issues and general business trends that affect the client
- Assist Partners on research, projects, planning
- Distinguish a personal reputation for excellence inside and outside the firm
