Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Head of People. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the People and Culture department in handling the full spectrum of People & HR functions, with an emphasis on employee engagement, performance management, and organizational structure. You will be tasked with helping shape and refine processes to ensure an effective and growth-minded organization.
In this role, you will report to the CEO. You will be expected to work independently but will have opportunities to supervise and grow the work of more junior colleagues.
You will:
Serve as a champion and role model of the organizational culture while building strong and trusting relationships with the team
Partner with the leadership team to drive organizational objectives from a people lens
Lead all people functions in conjunction with executive team, including setting up performance review cycles, employee relations, compensation, benefits and leave, performance and talent management, training and development, etc.
Maintaining legal and regulatory compliance as it relates to employment as we scale to ensure that we evolve our processes appropriately
Review and improve organizational structures including, but not limited to, RACI charts, job descriptions, and performance review templates and methodologies that encourage growth opportunities for employees and promote collaboration, performance, and accountability.
Create and enhance diversity, equity and inclusion programs
Establish people oriented policies and practices that are aligned with, and enhance mission and core values and see that they are adhered to consistently
Requirements:
5 years experience in HR and people management
Smaller company experience desired
Experience with design agencies/e-commerce would be a Plus!!
An excellent project manager with a proven ability to design and implement HR and operations strategies that drive business results
A self directed-leader who proactively takes ownership and is excited to scale team and company
A desire to help employees at all levels achieve their development goals
A natural coach and mentor with an ability to foster relationships with all levels of the team
Exceptional communication skills
An excellent attitude and a strong passion for your career!
