The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a 4 WEEK position in the Pasadena, Texas area:
CIVIL FOREMAN
4 / 10's OT
$36/HR
Successful candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of Carpentry experience in a petrochemical or industrial manufacturing environment. This position will have a strong focus on concrete work, as well as other aspects of Civil Carpentry. NCCER credentials are preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe execution of work assigned to crew(s)
- Assuring all employees comply with safety procedures
- Conducting safety meetings
- Examining equipment and tools to assure their integrity and safe use; and all other safety related items required during performance of the work
- Responsible for efficient and productive use of workers, equipment, tools, etc.
- Responsible for furnishing complete and accurate information with respect to timesheet, job progress reports, etc.
- Responsible for assuring that work of employees meets minimum acceptable standards
- Coordinates work of assigned Foreman with Foreman assigned to other General Foremen
- Assures that materials are at the job site when required
- Assists in planning, estimating, and scheduling as requested, and performs personnel related activities (evaluation, discipline, etc.) as required by contractor
Essential Job Functions:
The General Foreman has overall responsibility for coordinating maintenance planning and scheduling of work with Mundy and customer site personnel. The General Foreman directly supervise the supervisors of crews consisting of various crafts and must coordinate planning for each job with a constant focus on safety, quality, productivity, employee relations and costs. The General Foreman has leadership responsibilities for of the first line supervisors under their direction and a direct supervisory responsibility for the direction and personal development of their assigned employees.
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must be craft certified, or possess the ability to pass a craft test.
