JOB SUMMARY
We have recently partnered with a Rhode Island law firm in search of a Legal Assistant to join their team in Warwick, RI! Experience in Family Law or Litigation would make for the most successful candidate! If you possess excellent client relationship building skills, attention to detail, and a self-starter attitude, this is a great opportunity to pursue!
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Opening/closing case files; organizing, maintaining, and updating as required.
- Professional and timely communication with clients and opposing counsel.
- Drafting of legal documents to include discovery requests, motions, and subpoenas.
- Filing documents with courts.
- Calendar management for meetings, deadlines, and court appearances.
The idea candidate will have 2 years’ experience in providing legal support, proficiency with MS Office Suite, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferences will be given to candidates with prior legal support experience!
