The Nature Conservancy in NY envisions a landscape where floodplains and shorelines function naturally and dynamically, and people are safe from the impacts of storms, fluctuating water levels and eroding lands. Healthy ecosystems can provide multiple benefits to local communities, benefits that are increasingly important with changes in climate. We work to accomplish this vision by protecting floodplains and shorelines from new development and hardening as well as restoring natural function to degraded floodplains and shorelines, which often involves making way for water. Additionally, we aim to better understand how the decisions and impacts of climate decisions are distributed across the landscape on local communities.

The pay for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $27.75/hour. This only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
