Position Summary:

We are looking for a Real Estate Strategic Planner to come and join our team. In this role, you will be part of a team overseeing all aspects of NBA’s real estate, developing strategies, and driving occupancy & portfolio optimization. You will play a strategic role applying industry best practices and utilizing data to develop analyses and provide insights to assist in the pursuit of key league initiatives relating to the NBA’s workplace and overall business objectives, including the development of a flexible space sharing program.


Major Responsibility:

Real Estate Strategy

  • Drive space optimization by analyzing data and providing recommendations to support the workplace strategy.
  • Assist with the real estate portfolio strategy, including rationalization and optimization activities, headcount and space planning (supply & demand management), and critical analysis of space usage.
  • Lead the development of standard operating procedures, best practices, and innovated workplace programs to better support our people and our business, including the development of a flexible space sharing program to reduce real estate cost while optimizing flexibility and satisfaction.
  • Deliver strategic planning and reporting across Real Estate and Facilities, problem solving for growth, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Develop workplace metrics to support leaders in making informed decisions and deliver insights, including evaluating workspaces, headcount forecasts and office utilization.
  • Prepare forecasts and analyze space planning trends to support short and long-term business planning initiatives.
  • Lead change management and communications to support real estate programs and initiatives to ensure engagement across our stakeholders.
  • Manage our workplace management application, lead technology upgrades, and evaluate opportunities on evolving technology ensuring industry best practices, tools, and processes are used to support the workplace and manage real estate effectively.


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 5-7 years of experience in strategic occupancy & portfolio planning services
  • Strong analytical skills to leverage data in developing real estate strategies
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to solve problems involving several options and scenarios
  • Experience with developing and implementing flexible space sharing or alternative workplace solutions programs
  • Continuous improvement, forward-thinking mindset to challenge the status quo with the ability to create new standards and processes
  • Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and furniture systems
  • Excellent communicator with outstanding written and verbal skills to effectively present information; the role requires engaging stakeholders across all departments and job levels
  • Strong organizational skills to quickly pivot and multitask efficiently
  • Expert experience with CAFM software, CAD, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required. Experience with BI tools, e.g., Tableau or Power BI, are a plus
  • Meticulous on data and reporting accuracy
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree


Salary Range:
$120,000.00 - $145,000.00
