What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at The Nest Shoreline Campus?

The Nest is a family-centered and forward-thinking early learning center with a Reggio Emilia-based approach to childhood learning, activity, and play. Our teachers work together to proudly nurture curious and joyful children, provide kind and gentle attention, and foster engaging and creative classrooms. Candidates must be passionate about infants and toddlers and committed to working in the field of early childhood education. The ideal candidate will be eager to support colleagues as they build trusting relationships that encourage each child's growth, development, and healthy attachments.

Our teachers and staff value relationships with children's families, supporting them as they balance the demands of careers and family. The Nest is excited to mentor, learn from, and partner with like-minded professionals who have diverse backgrounds, experiences and learning styles. We are looking for an individual who will quickly learn the expectations, curriculum and culture of the school.

The ideal candidate would demonstrate:

  • intentional teaching practices that are grounded in the Reggio Emilia approach
  • a gentle, warm, creative demeanor
  • a working knowledge of the RIE approach to infant/toddler care
  • an associate/bachelors degree in early childhood education/development or related field (varies depending on position)

We are seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, because at the heart of a child's success is a well-rounded, trusting relationship. Enthusiasm about nature-based learning, including farm-to-table gardening, is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
