Job description
Looking for a operational controller/accountant to revisit and establish efficient and updated office procedures and processes for our current and anticipated growth.
The Company enjoys a national reputation for having the highest quality scores from Medicare in the country. We have consistently achieved high scores with Medicare while servicing the most complex patients in the community. We are maintaining a lower Emergency Room and hospitalization rate along with a substantial reduction in the 30-day readmission rates while managing to save over $1,000 per patient per month.
The ideal candidate will have 5 – 10 years of increasing experience in various financial functions. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance would be required. CPA experience would be helpful but is not required. Experience in evaluating current office technology systems, proposing and implementing new systems would be valuable. Experience in the healthcare industry would be preferred. Candidate should be a self-starter.
Other responsibilities include:
- Reviews computer interfaces between applications, makes recommendation for change and implements in a timely manner.
- Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and recommending action.
- Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
- Assists owner in evaluating tax planning issues.
- Maintains financial staff, when needed, by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
