Job Title: Field Assessor Department: EHE | Human Sciences Administration-JM Please note that this candidate must sit in Columbus, OH or Cleveland, OH and on-site training will take place in Columbus, OH. The Research Assistant will provide support within the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy on a federally-funded research project in the early childhood education setting. The Research Assistant will spend the majority of their time engaged in data collection. Primary responsibilities include recruitment and consent activities, administration of child assessments and teacher interviews, and conducting classroom observations and follow-up assessments as needed. Positions available in Columbus and in Cleveland. Required: Bachelor's s level degree in Social Sciences or Education, or equivalent education and experience Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds Knowledge of developmental assessments Ability to work as part of a team Knowledge of desktop computing Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for field work Must be able to fulfill the state requirements to work with children (successful completion of an FBI/BCI background check). The target hiring range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour. Position is expected to work an average of 30 hours per week.
