Senior Sales Manager

The Senior Sales Manager is a career sales professional and top producer in hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance commitment and expertise in direct selling. The Senior Sales Manager is a vital part of the Hotel Operations team. The Senior Sales Manager assists the property in meeting all sales and revenue goals while building a portfolio of returning and new business. The Senior Sales Manager builds strong relationships in the community and on property. Building and maintaining a strong brand reputation is a top priority for a strong Senior Sales Manager. This role is eligible for a quarterly sales bonus.

This is a hybrid position and allows for remote work. Candidates must live locally as you'll need to be onsite for big events.

• Target accounts, markets, or segments with a heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation.
• Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business to achieve individual and property revenue goals.
• Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue.
• Develops effective sales plans and actions.
• Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand, etc. and knows how to sell against them.
• Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenues and close on business.
• Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations.
• Conducting site inspections.
• Preparing and presenting effective proposals.
• Maintain well-organized documentation and reports.
• Utilize sales, reservations, and revenue management systems.
• Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals.
• Partner with operations and events departments to ensure full participation in servicing guests and clients.
• Partner with the sales department as a whole to meet department goals.

• A minimum of 5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience. Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and detail-orientated.
• Business-minded.
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
• Effectively manage client relations.
• Capacity to work independently and as a team.
• Competitive spirit, passionate, and driven.
