School Operations Manager

We have an opportunity for a School Operations Manager to join our team at Jacksonville Classical Academy East. Opening this year, our classical education model offers students a sound curriculum based on the traditions of the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue. We are a licensed user of the Hillsdale College K-12 curriculum through its Barney Charter School Initiative and are also part of The Optima Foundation family of schools.

We are a tuition-free public charter school, privately managed with our own board of directors and contracted with Duval County school district to provide services to all children eligible.

School Operations Manager Overview:

The school operations manager is a salaried full time position offering benefits and paid time off.

The school operations manager performs administrative and supervisory work in the non- academic operations of the organization. This includes student recruitment, financial management, student transportation, before and after school enrichment, school clubs the food service program and facilities. He or she works to ensure the operational success of the organization, ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met, and that resources are managed effectively.

• Degree in business management or related field.

• 5 years in business, retail, or hospitality management.

• Leadership and decision-making ability.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and experience with various types of software systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
