About us
The Ortus Club is a B2B marketing company specialised in virtual and in-person knowledge-sharing discussions. We run approximately 50 events a month for our clients and help them create environments that can start meaningful business relationships, globally.
The Role
As a freelance Master of Ceremonies, you will be in charge of representing The Ortus Club at one of our events, helping coordinate specific event details with The Ortus Club team, and ensuring a smooth guest experience for the duration of the event. Among other things, your responsibility will include: leading the registration process, providing regular updates to the Ortus Club team, delivering an introduction speech, and coordinating with the venue as needed.
Compensation
You will be compensated US$300 for the event, lasting approximately 4-5 hours per event.
Responsibilities
- Represent The Ortus Club at events and fulfill the role of event organizer
- Lead the registration process and provide regular updates to the team
- Deliver an introduction speech at the event
- Coordinate with the venue as necessary
- Ensure all printed Ortus Club material is received and placed properly
- Welcome guests and assist them with any needs they may have
- Ensure that guests have a seamless experience
Qualifications
- Must be based in Dallas
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, guests, and venue staff
- Confidence and professionalism in representing The Ortus Club at events
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic event environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and encourage their attendance at future events
