Position Overview : The Party Staff, Inc. is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Seasonal Winery Cellar Workers for one of our esteemed clients during the upcoming harvest season.
This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the winemaking process and involves various production tasks within the cellar.
The ideal candidate will be prepared for physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy loads.
Key Responsibilities : 1. Cellar Operations : Clean and sanitize tanks, barrels and other fermentation vessels. Transfer wine between tanks and barrels, ensuring proper handling and minimal disruption.
Assist in blending and quality control processes. 2. Maintenance and Cleanup : Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cellar area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Dispose of waste materials in accordance with winery protocols. 3. Harvesting and Processing : Perform sorting and destemming of grapes, removing any undesirable material.
o Operate and maintain processing equipment, such as crushers, press machines, and pumps. 4. Fermentation Management : Monitor and manage fermentation processes, including the addition of yeast and other additives.
Regularly check and record fermentation temperatures, sugar levels, and other relevant parameters. Assist in punching down fermentations to maintain steady fermentation rates.
5. Physical Labor : Lift and move heavy bags, barrels, and other equipment as needed. Perform repetitive tasks that require sustained physical effort and attention to detail.
Operate forklifts and other machinery (if certified and trained). Qualifications : Commitment : Ability to commit to a full 10-week work period during the harvest season.

Most of the work will be spent cleaning (scrubbing, picking up, organizing) as we prioritize cleanliness in this facility.
