Fleet Manager

The Fleet Manager must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of company Fleet Equipment operations including cost-benefit analysis, purchasing, maintaining, scheduling, mobilizing, inventory management/control, licensing, registering, training, etc. The Fleet Manager must display the leadership and management capability to effectively run the Fleet department on a daily basis while creating and maintaining a professional atmosphere. This position is hands-on with maintaining and mechanically working on equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's vehicle fleet, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs for all fleet vehicles to ensure they are in excellent condition.
• Implement and maintain effective fleet safety programs and policies.
• Prepare reports on fleet performance, including maintenance costs and vehicle/equipment utilization, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and service agreements.
• Collaborate with other departments across the organization to ensure efficient use of fleet resources.
• Perform thorough inspections, diagnose, and repair large and small equipment, trucks, and trailers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and logistical skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of vehicle/equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations regarding vehicle safety and compliance.
