Infant Teacher

Salary: Starting at $20 per hour with opportunities for growth 

Job Type: Full Time, Year-Round

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Trains, supervises and delegates responsibilities to the Teacher’s Assistant, Teacher’s Aides, and classroom volunteers
• Oversees the daily workflow of the classroom
• Coordinates and implements classroom curriculum by developing activities based on appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Plans individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children to encourage social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual development
• Implement a Christian education program including daily devotionals, bible stories, and prayer
• Builds and maintains a positive relationship with parents and families; frequently communicating with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
• Uses teaching assessment tools (Teaching Strategies GOLD) to track each child’s progress and to develop a specific plan of action to aid each child’s development
• Creates and submits weekly lesson plans that incorporate the use of the teaching assessment tools to develop the most effective learning and development strategies for each child’s progress
• Works with CEC Leadership to ensures all center policies, state regulations, and other performance standards are met
• Ensures a healthy classroom environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
