JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Beaver, along with Penn State Shenango's Continuing Education Department is seeking multiple Part-Time IT Instructors to teach within the following program areas in Spring and Fall 2024: CompTIA Network CompTIA Security Schedule: CompTIA Network (Spring 2024) - MWF 8:50 - 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. CompTIA Security - (Fall 2024) - TBD The instructor is responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as online, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, instructors are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Requirements and Qualifications: Instructors should have at least a bachelor’s degree, industry expertise and/or work experience in the subject matter area. Candidate should also possess CompTIA certifications in Network or Security . Experience teaching and/or training in an online learning environment is preferred. This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances: • PA State Police Criminal Background Check • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form • FBI Criminal Background Check Pay for these classes is determined based on instructor experience and the frequency and duration of each class.
