JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Risk Management is seeking a Risk Analyst. This role will provide technical/professional support to the Insurance Program Manager, Senior Claim Specialist and Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Work with the claims system and liaison with the University's claims partners. Assist in the procurement of insurance and other risk financing models. Claims Duties Oversee the General Liability claims up to an assigned dollar amount and serve as the primary point of contact for University claims partners. Triage reported incidents/claims and obtain missing details and documentation required for reporting claims to insurers. Assist the claims partners in gathering information about the incidents and claims, including photos and other evidence of an incident scene. Assist in maintaining claims reports for the finances of Nittany Insurance Company. Insurance Program Duties Assist the Insurance Program Manager in gathering, consolidating, and preparing insurance underwriting submissions. Independently handle assigned insurance renewal policy functions, such as but not limited to: surety bonds, Nittany Insurance Company policies, broadcasting liability, advisory boards, alumni organizations, property cargo transit, and host event liability. Monitor invoicing and insurance policy issuance (including mid-term changes) so that both are processed timely and accurately. Issue Certificates of Insurance and review requests to modify the University's insurance requirements. This position typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher plus 4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
